What's the difference between this High Lignan oil, and the other formulas? And how do I know which is best for me?

FloraHealth USA

Hi Kathryn,
The High Lignan version has flax seed fiber added back into the oil blend after it has been pressed. Flax fiber is a rich source of lignans, which have antioxidant and phytoestrogen properties. If that's not something that aligns with your health needs, I'd suggest just the original version.
Best regards,

Does it give you heartburn or belches like fish oil. Do I still have to take fish oil or Vitamin D

FloraHealth USA

There should be no repeat or burps, and no nausea, as it should be free from anything that might irritate or upset your digestive tract.

It is tested and guaranteed free from heavy metals, cleaning products and microbiological contaminants. We don't extract with solvents (we expeller press), we don't use any chemicals or heat processes to extract the oil. Our oil is not deodorized, distilled, refined, bleached, preserved, defoamed, degummed, or cooked. We have never had a batch that was rancid and we do not use any ingredients that are GMO, sprayed, or rotten. For this reason, it should be smooth sailing.

Oils are best taken with food for optimal digestion and comfort (and to help absorb more antioxidants).

I cannot tell you if you need vitamin D or DHA....but everyone needs these omegas, as they are essential whether they take a fish oil or not.

You do not need a fish oil. If you are sufficient in DHA, regular Udo's 369 is fine. If you need more DHA, EPA or GLA, the DHA Udo's 369 formula has more of those things.

I suggest that instead of the high lignan. That way you will conveniently get all the fatty acids in one place. Lignans are sticky and can and do settle at the bottle bottom and will need shaking and stirring to keep them mixed in anyway.

Vitamin D3 supplement should be taken depending on the latitude you live at, your body fat and the colour of your skin. The more North, the more fat, and the darker you are, the more you're likely to more vitamin D from October to April. May to September only if your doctor suggests it.
