Manuka Honey Blend

The manuka honey blend is one of my favorites. I mainly add it to my cup of tea and I'm also known for taking a spoonful of it too. While I would highly recommend the Flora Manuka Honey Blend, the delivery (FedEx) was very unprofessional. The package was left in the shrubbery for the homeowner to find.

Honey has Added Sugar.

On a jar with Honey, it states 16g Added Sugar even though your ad states not Sugar added from other sources.

Yes, this is very confusing isn't it? There is NOTHING added to the honey, including sugar. New labelling laws in Canada and the USA insist that any natural sweetener such as honey, maple syrup or similar be considered as sugars added to your diet. This is what they refer to by 'added sugars'. No sugars are added to the product, rather, you are adding sugar to your daily intake when you use these foods. (We know not all honey and maple syrup labels say this yet - Flora were among the very first to adopt the new labeling, but others should follow suit within a few years!).

I am trying to get rid of a skin fungus on several parts of my body. I may have picked it up in Old Mexico when we were on a cruise ship and going ashore. Someone suggested I apply Minooka honey since the medicine from my PCP is not working. I plan to add tea tree oil to Minooka honey and apply to the affected areas. How often should I apply it? How can I keep it from absorbing into my clothes?

Hi Carolyn,
Thanks for contacting us. I would suggest you seek advice from a health professional for something like this. While our Manuka Honey can be applied topically, it is not intended to treat infections or diseases.
Best regards,
